as pertains that balance, btw, in essence, people with no money but who believe in giving visibility to their causes will be in FAIR-PLAY competition with giant multi-national business. and vice-versa.
with free-vs-pay-click ratios dynamically adjusted for up-to-date real-market economics, an example of a scenario could be this: 10,000 "activists" that want a multi-national to demonstrate sustainable social and environmental practices will be able to "match" the $ amount spent by that multi-national in the game by each activist clicking away at the activists' item in the game 1 hour a day 5 days a week for 1 month.
and maybe there's an activist that gladly puts out $5 or $2,500 in pay-clicks and saves herself hours or weeks of clicking away, and another activist that can't afford to give away $ or would rather spend it on their environmental camping trip and spends 250 hours of his time clicking away with their smartphone at the lake or at the free computer at the library.
and a company can pay people (anywhere on the planet) "X"$/1,000 clicks to click for the company's item in the game. (clicks can easily be tracked/verified if the person doing the clicking chooses to allow that function.)
and people are free. someone may have the opportunity to get automatically electronically paid $100 by pepsi-cola for every 5,000 times s/he clicks "winner" for that pepsi-cola item in the game. (since the system requires human-clicking-verification such as CAPTCHA or what not, and even because of factors such as internet-connection speed ETC, you might be able to do anywhere from 2 or 3 to 15 "winner" clicks per minute or so.) at the same time, s/he may instead decide to get paid $75 per 5,000 clicks by coke, because even if it's lower pay, s/he likes coke better. or vice-versa.
more importantly, with a 1-in-5 chance of winning a dollar by clicking on an item that wins (as explained in the Q&A), everyone has a 1-in-5 chance of getting a fair income (within the publicly-specified limits and cash-prize budgets) without having to deal with either coke or pepsi. or maybe you'll click for RC cola just because you like it. or click where you like, just because, period.
